Polls
The Polls manager allows you to provide visitors the opportunity to speak their minds...which also happens to generate interest, build goodwill and allow you to keep in touch with the opinions of your users.

You must have one of the checked permissions to use this manager.

Polls Coordinator
- This feature is only applicable to those who have the People manager.
- Select an appropriate person from the drop down menu. The list of names that appear is populated from your People manager. The person must have an email address entered in your People manager in order to appear.
- Click the Save icon within the dialog box.
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each Coordinator you want to add.
- To delete a Coordinator, click the Delete icon to the left of the person's name.
- TITLE: Enter a name for your poll.
- PUBLISH DATE: Click the calendar icon to the right of the Publish Date field to bring up the interactive calendar and choose the date that your poll will be available to users. Leave the Publish Date field blank to make your poll available immediately. Alternatively, you may click inside the Publish Date field to bring up the interactive calendar.
- EXPIRATION DATE: Click the calendar icon to the right of the Expiration Date field to bring up the interactive calendar and choose the date that your poll expire. The poll will appear through the end of the date you select. The end time is determined by your Time Zone selection within the Home Page Settings area. Leave the Expiration Date field blank to make your poll available immediately. Alternatively, you may click inside the Expiration Date field to bring up the interactive calendar.
- Create/Edit your poll question using the editor. You can format the question as needed and even insert an image into the poll. For help with the functionality of the Page Editor, see Using the Editor for more information.
- Click the Save icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
- Type the first possible answer in the Answer box.
- Click the Save icon within the dialog box.
- Type the second possible answer the Answer box.
- Click the Save icon within the dialog box.
- Repeat the steps above until all answer choices have been entered.
- To delete a choice, click the Delete icon to the left of the answer.
You may place a poll immediately after creating it by following the instructions below. To place a poll from the Page Editor, visit the
Page Editor section for more information.
- Click on the Poll Placement tab.
- From the drop down list, select the page on which you want your poll to appear.
- Click the Save icon in the upper right corner of the dialog box.
- Do this for each page you on which you wish to place the poll.
- To delete a poll placement, click the Delete icon to the left of the page title.
You may check your poll results at any time by following the instructions below.
- Select the Polls manager icon on the main Control Panel screen.
- Select the Poll for which you wish to retrieve the results.
- When the Poll screen loads, click on the Poll Answers tab.
- The number of responses for each answer is displayed to the right of the answer.
- You may update the counter for each answer with results from paper ballots by clicking on the answer, updating the counter and selecting the Save icon in the upper right corner of the dialog box.
- Delete a poll or polls by selecting the check box to the left of the Poll ID number.
- Click the Delete Selected icon. Once a poll is deleted, there is not a way to retrieve the poll.
- Alternatively, you may click the Delete icon within the Poll itself.
