Troubleshooting: Forms
Use this list of links below to troubleshoot various issues that occur while creating and testing forms on your site.
Issues that come up during form creation:
- Nothing happens when I click "Use System Processor" or "Use Other Processor"
- Some or all of my form fields are yellow instead of white
- My cursor jumped outside of the red box - perform steps noted below:
- If you have not begun to create form fields, simply click your mouse back inside of the red box and begin typing
- If you have begun to create form fields, or are finished with your form, highlight then cut and paste all of the form's contents back into the red box and save
Issues that come up while testing the form on your site (form testing can only be done from the web view of your site and it works best if you use the actual view and not the preview):
- Some or all of my form fields are yellow instead of white
- Nothing happens when I click the submit button
- I'm getting an error message when I try to submit a form I created
- I set up a hidden field for required answers but the form is allowing me to submit it without answering those questions
- I'm not receiving the form submission email
- The email received after form submission is incomplete or blank
- The email received after form submission contains multiple versions of the same questions and answers
- The email received after form submission contains strange characters like the "%" and "&"
