Do I need to submit a site map to Google?
Since our application provides a site map that lists every public page on your web site and can be used by any search engine to index the pages in your site, there is not necessarily a need to submit a special site map to Google or any other search engines. However, sites are not penalized for submitting sitemaps and are, in fact, encouraged to do so by Google (see "What's a Sitemap?" for more info).
You can see all of your pages which Google has indexed by typing site: followed by your domain name (ex. site:yourdomain.com) in the Google search form.
If your site is not yet listed on Google, you have two options:
- Wait a couple of weeks since Google automatically indexes new sites within a short period of time
- See "How do I get my site to show up on search engines?"
