How do I make the borders of individual table cells invisible?

You may already know that you can make the borders of a table invisible by opening "Table Properties" and setting the "Border Size" to zero. But did you know that you can also make borders of one cell or several cells invisible while keeping the border around the rest of the table?

Here's how: place your cursor inside the cell where you want to see the border disappear. Right click and under the "Cell" category, select "Cell Properties." When the box opens, select a Background Color, then select the same Border Color. Click "OK." This will give the appearance that the cell has no border lines while keeping the other cell borders in tact.

**Note - your table has to have a cell spacing value of "1" or greater in order for this to work.
